Delhi’s Indus Valley International Film Festival is very popular in this subcontinent. Movies are deposited here from many countries. The competition has various categories. In that continuation, the new festival is going to start from August 1.
Monjurul Islam Megh, an international film festival distributor, jury and filmmaker, has been appointed as the coordinator of the Indus Valley International Film Festival this year.
He said that the festival selection committee reviewed the movies and selected 4 films.
The film ‘Nolok’ directed by Shakib Sonnet from Bangladesh has been nominated as a commercial film in the popular category to take part in the festival. Shakib Khan, Bobby Haque and others have acted in the film based on the screenplay of Ferrari Farhad.
Besides, Masood Pathik’s movie ‘Maya-The Lost Mother’, made with government grant, has been nominated for the feature film section at the festival. Jyotika Jyoti, Pran Roy, Mumtaz Sarkar and many others have acted in different roles here.
‘Malabhabi’ directed by Mizanur Rahman Labu has been nominated for the short film category and ‘Qasida of Dhaka’ directed by Anarja Murshid has been nominated for the documentary category.
