Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that no social afforestation will be allowed in natural forests. Natural forests will remain as natural forests.

She said if social afforestation is to be conducted, agreements should be signed with the beneficiaries. Their main duty of the Forest Department is to protect natural forests. No social afforestation will take place in natural forests.

Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan came up with the assertion while speaking as the chief guest at an international environmental conference held at the conference room of Tangail Bureau Bangladesh in Tangail on Wednesday.
