Bangladesh Bar Council Chairman Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal had said there is no scope for PR system in general elections of the country going to be held in February next due to existing legal structures. The election commission (EC) will work in absolutely region basis, while Jamaat-e-Islami came to field with their proposal for PR as part of fulfilling their political agenda.
Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal was speaking at a discussion meeting with the media activists at Dakbanglo auditorium at bordering Moheshpur upazila in on Thursday morning.
Barrister Kazal, an intending Jatiya Sangshad (JS) polls in Jhenaidah- 3 seat (Moheshpur and Kotchandpur) for the next elections said he will devote himself for the interest of the people in the seat for overall development with priority in financial, women development, control drug in the bordering hub and law1 and order if he was nominated form the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The people of all walks of live with remain with him, Barrister Kazal said.
The Bar Council Chairman said BNP always fighting for free and fare elections for de`mocratic practices that went out of reach of the common people. He wall work with the cooperation and assistance of all political parties irrespective of differences of opinion. He said The people were deprived off voting rights in last 15 years in Awami league ruling as the fascist had banned the politics of a number of parties. The interim government had banned the fascist party and all of their activities for a democratic society.
Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal said they are working under the guidance of their leader Khaleda Zia and BNP acting chairman Tareque Rahaman in join hands to implement the dreams of the July uprising movement fighters. It will help implement the 31-point declared by Tareque Rahjman with the young forces as they are the future leaders of our country, Barrister Kazal said.
