Awami League presidium member and 14-party alliance spokesman Mohammed Nasim today said BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront lack positive politics and welfare-oriented decisions.
“There is no positive politics in BNP and Oikyafront. There is no positive decision too,” he told reporters after visiting the river control works of Water Development Board and construction work of Sheikh Hasina Nursing College in Sirajganj sadar upazila, reports BSS.
Nasim said the statements BNP and Gonoforum made in their budget reactions opposed the budget only for opposition.
About the proposed budget for fiscal 2019-20, he said the Awami League government has already announced a vision to make Bangladesh a middle-income one by 2021 and a development country by 2041, and the proposed budget will help achieve the vision.
The AL leader said the government is working to check corruption and carry out development activities in the country, while the budget was announced to achieve the goals.
Noting that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a symbol of peace and development, he said the development activities are taking place at the grassroots due to the continuity of the government.
Nasim said the present government rooted out militancy, resolved power crisis, is implementing Padma bridge project with own fund and ensuring peace and stability in the country.
