“No matter how many disasters come, no one will die for the lack of food. There is no crisis or lack of anything in the country during the tenure of the present government. And I have always been and will always be by the side of people from all walks of life”, said Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Bangladesh Police Mohammad Habibur Rahman.

“Bangladesh Police is now doing a lot of improved public welfare work. Many of our policemen have lost their lives in the service of the people during the Corona period. Many districts are now flooded. Our police members are engaged in security including food aid in all those areas”, he added. The DIG said these to reporters after distributing food aid among the Bede (Water gypsies) community of Mirkadim Municipality in Munshiganj Sadar Upazila on Friday afternoon.

During this time, he provided food aid to 132 Bedes of Mirkadim Municipality. Munshiganj District Superintendent of Police Md Abdul Momen, Narayanganj ASP Mostafizur Rahman, Munshiganj ASP Mahfuz Afzal and other officers of the district police were present during the distribution.
