Coronavirus has introduced us to a whole new world where the number of infected patients is rising rapidly, so does our indifference to others’ sufferings. It seems that this pandemic has shown us the other side of humanity as nobody cares about the miseries cross-sections of people are going through in order to get basic healthcare facilities.
Md. Sumon, a cancer patient, has come all the way from Char Fasson Upazila in Bhola district to Dhaka for his treatment. Despite repeated attempts in the last three days he could not get his corona test done from Mugda General Hospital, which is necessary for his admission into any other hospital for cancer treatment.
