‘No negligence of law enforcing agencies to combat teenage crimes’

Additional Inspector General of Police Dr. Mohammad Mainur Rhaman said that there is no negligence of law enforcing agencies and no political influence to combat teenage crimes.

“To control the crime, family should come forward along with the law enforcing agencies. At the same time, the information technology should not be used in crimes, rather it should be used in flourishing the creativity of the children” Mainur Rhaman said this while addressing at a Debate Competition on “Control of Teenage Gang Culture” on Saturday at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation in the capital.

Debate for Democracy organised the programme with the organisation Chairman Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiran in the chair.

Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury said that political willingness is very important to prevent the teenage gang culture. The teenagers should not be used in the political meetings and processions. The law enforcing agencies should be more strict to control the crime. The parents should be more careful. 

After the discussion trophies were distributed among the winner of the debate competion. Dhaka College beat University of South Asia. Professor Abu Mohammad Rois, Journalists Parvej Reza, Nesarul Islam Khokon, Development Expert Dr. S M Morshed And Gender Expart Nishat Sultana were present as the judges.
