No manual mutation from March 17: Land Minister

No manual application for the land mutation will be accepted from March 17, 2020. Solar power system will be installed to provide electricity to land offices where power is inadequate.

The land minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, MP announced this while presiding over Divisional Commissioner coordination meeting at the conference hall of the land ministry on Sunday. The land secretary Md. Muksodur Rahman Patwary was present at the time.

Saifuzzaman Chowdhury further said, "We are committed to fully digitalize the process of applying Mutation at the Land Office at the time of celebration of Bangabandhu's birth centenary.”

Besides, the Land Minister directed the Divisional Commissioners to investigate whether is it possible to provide the mutation service to the people who need this urgently in exchange of a special fee.

Double cabin pickup transfer ceremony to the Assistant Commissioner (Land) for the field level land offices took place before the Divisional Commissioner coordination meeting at the same place.

By handing over of 55 double cabin pickups to the Assistant Commissioner (Land) / Revenue Circle AC (Land) under the Ministry of Land, the allotment of official vehicles has been completed to all currently operational Upazila land offices/revenue circles offices.

It is important to note that in the meantime, 17 more AC (Land) positions have been created. Official vehicles will be allotted to these Upazila land offices/revenue circles offices after the completion of TO&E (Table of Organization and Equipment)

The purpose of cabin pickup is to increase your inspection capacity within the jurisdiction and if necessary, to facilitate during the sudden visit to the land offices. Besides, the vehicle can bring a qualitative change at the field level by helping you out while fulfilling other government duties - Minister said the AC Land.

Additional Secretary (Field Administration) Pradip Kumar Das, Deputy Secretary Mosammat Momotaz Begum of the Field Administration branch of the ministry, representatives of vehicle vendor Pragati Industries Ltd's were present among others.
