‘No lobbying to fill vacancy of CCC’

Vacancies will be filled and fixed on seniority basis, and no lobbying will be allowed in the Chattogram City Corporation (CCC), said AJM Nasir Uddin at the reception programme given by the CCC Workers' Employee League (CBA) at the green fair stage of Outer Stadium in the port city on Sunday.

The reception was given to fulfill various demands, including increasing the pay of CCC's temporary employees, workers, officers and staff. The mayor said to the employees, “I take your responsibility; you will take the responsibility of the city dwellers.”Acting president of the city Awami League FF Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury was the chief guest of the programme.

He said people know that when the Awami League comes to power, their fate changes. As long as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is in power, the battered people will not be deprived of their rights. The mayor sought the cooperation of the townspeople, saying that if it got clean, then the workers engaged in clean work would be able to make the city more beautiful. Earlier, there were 1350 dustbins on the city's main highway. 750 dustbins were removed from that place and brought down to 600.

In order to improve the quality of life of the clean staff, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's intention is to construct six multi-storey buildings with 14-storey modern facilities in the 3-sevak colony. Where there will be 1314 flats. Allotments will be made only to Horizons. CCC Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Samsuddoha and Joint Workers League Central Committee Joint Secretary Safar Ali, CCC Councilor Shabal Das Sumon, Hassan Murad Biplob, Md Gias Uddin, Chittagong Press Club general secretary Chowdhury Farid were present as the special guests. General Secretary M Morshedul Alam Chowdhury gave the welcome speech chaired by City Corporation CBA President Farid Ahmed.
