The government is selling TCB products to the poor at a subsidized price of Tk 700 to Tk 800 crore per month. Now there is no discontent among people during Ramadan.

The people of the country are now in a much better condition than citizens of many other countries, considering the global financial situation.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said this while distributing cheques for Tk10,000 to 29 journalists of Rangpur as the Prime Minister’s special financial aid to support them in overcoming the hardships faced by them during the Covid-19 pandemic at the conference room of the Rangpur District Commissioner on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Chitralekha Nazneen Chaired the function.

Tipu Munshi said, “If the global situation is improved, the people of the country will be more comfortable. That’s why we have to be patient. Inflation in Bangladesh is 9 percent while in Pakistan it is 35 percent. Despite the suffering of the people, considering the global situation, the people of Bangladesh are doing well. For this reason, BNP should criticize Bangladesh considering the global situation.”

Rangpur Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Abu Zafar, District Police Superintendent Ferdous Ali Chowdhury, Press Club Rangpur President Mahbub Rahman Habu and others were present at this time.
