Gas supply will be suspended in several areas of Dhaka city from 10am to 4pm on Thursday (today), to facilitate relocation of a gas pipeline from Tejgaon Rail Crossing to Sonargaon Hotel, according to a statement of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited (TGTDCL).
"Pipeline relocation is part of a route alignment of utilities under the Dhaka Elevated Expressway Project," the company said.
The gas supply will remain suspended at Tejkunipara, Tejgaon Girls' School area, Kawran Bazar Khirstan Para, Sonargaon Hotel, Kathalbagan, Diluroad, Paribagh, eastern part of Sonargaon Road and western part of Khataban Road.
Expressing regret over the temporary inconvenience to the customers, the company further said adjacent areas of the affected locations may also experience low pressure in supply for the same reason at the time.
