Bangladesh reported zero death and 29 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours till 8am Friday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
As no death was reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of deaths remained unchanged at 29,131.
According to the DGHS notification, 195 people recovered from Coronavirus in 24 hours. So far 1,903,580 people have recovered.
4,787 samples were collected in 24 hours. 4,829 samples were tested. The detection rate is 0.6 percent. The total detection rate since the beginning of the pandemic is 13.82 percent.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 97.43 percent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.49 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
Among the 29,131 fatalities, 12,801 occurred in Dhaka division, 5,863 in Chattogram, 2,142 in Rajshahi, 3,718 in Khulna, 982 in Barishal, 1,328 in Sylhet, 1,417 in Rangpur and 880 in Mymensingh divisions.
