Bangladesh recorded 50 new infections in 24 hours till 8am Tuesday taking the total number of people infected to 1,952,412.
In the meantime, the country registered no death from Covid-19 yet again. The total number of deaths remains at 29,126, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday.
The current positivity rate stands 0.90 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14.01 percent.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.49 percent in the country, added the release.
A total of 5,545 samples were tested across the country till 8am Tuesday.
Some 331 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. A total of 1,891,528 people have recovered from the virus so far and the recovery rate stands at 96.88 percent.
As of Tuesday, 6,225,268 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 505,287,949 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
