‘No concession for drug peddlers’

Jhalokathi district police was following a zero tolerance policy for the drug peddlers, informed Fatiha Yeasmin, Superintendent of Police of Jhalokathi. 

SP Fatiha Yeasmin was addressing as the chief guest at a discussion meeting orgnised on 'Resistance of Drugs, Terrorism, Eve's Teasing and Child Marriage' organised by Local Youth Samaj at Ramjankathi Primary School play ground of Gavarnmachandrapur union under Jhalokathi sadar upazila on Thursday afternoon. 

 SP Fatiha said, the drug peddlers and the drug abusers should be boycotted socially. No one involved with drugs should be spared any way.  She further said, the nation was proceeding towards development but the drug was destroying our society. 

Drug is a huge resistance in building a sound society.  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has declared a zero tolerance policy against drug abuse. This movement against drug should be spread among all and the youngsters of the country should come forward to make this movement a success.  She advised the guardians to learn whereabouts and movement of their children and spare time for them.  She called upon the guardians to make their children well educated.  She sought cooperation from all to build a drug free society. 

Presided over by Golam maula Masum, Chairman of the union parishad, the function was addressed, among others, by Abu Taher Mia, Officer in Charge of sadar police station, Mostafizur Rahman Pintu and Farid Hossain.
