Since many years, actors from Bangladesh have joined the Tollywood industry and many of them have prominent works. In recent times, actors like Jaya Ahsan, Mahiya Mahi are working in the Tollywood industry. Not only this, many popular Bengali television singing reality shows also had contestants from Bangladesh and actors have also worked in daily soaps coming down to Kolkata from across the border.
Singer Nishita Barua also just started her career in the Tollywood industry. She has won many hearts with her debut playback song Ishq Khuda Hai, from the movie Ke Tumi Nandini. The movie is directed by Pathikrit Basu, featured Bonny Sengupta, Saayoni Ghosh, Shankar Chakraborty and Sayantani Guhathakurta as lead characters.
The music director of the film is Amlan Chakraborty and Nishita’s debut song has also got many hits online, with many appreciating it. Nishita, said, “This opportunity is like a dream come true for me. I am really thankful to Amlanda for giving me the chance to sing in the movie. It is an honour for me to sing for a film in the Tollywood industry. It’s a great achievement for me. I promise to surprise my fans with more such songs.”
Nishita Barua earned her popularity by securing second position in a television singing reality show of Bangladesh. In 2007, her first single album Aamai Nea Chalo was released. She has sung many songs for the Bangladesh industry.
