After creating a buzz in the film industry with its unique trailer and poster, model-actor Nirab Hossain-starrer new film ‘Abbas’ released yesterday. The film is directed by Saif Chandan. ‘Abbas’ will hit 37 prominent cinemas across the country. Sharing screen with lustrous actor Sohana Saba, Nirab will be seen portraying the titular role, Abbas, a thug who speaks the local dialect of Old Dhaka.
With the film, Saba made her debut as a singer by lending her vocal to a duet song with popular singer Imran Mahmudul. In the film, led by some circumstances and conspiracies, the thug of the Old Dhaka becomes one of the most dangerous persons in the whole city.
Saif Chandan said about the film, “‘Abbas’ contains an original story. During this critical time of the film industry, we have tried to present an entertaining and beautiful story-based film to the audience.”
Produced by Dhaka Films and Entertainment, the film also casts Ellora Gowhar, Alexander Bo, Somapti Mastuk, Don, Joy Raj, Nusrat Papia and Shimul Khan, among others.
