The swearing in ceremony of UP members of newly elected 18 Union Parishads has been completed at Mirsarai in Chittagong. The swearing-in ceremony was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday (December 30) at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Minhazur Rahman administered the oath of office to the newly elected UP members under the direction of Upazila Secondary Education Officer Humayun Kabir Khan. There are 144 general members and 48 reserved women members who took part in the swearing in.
Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Ala Uddin, Women Vice Chairman Ismat Ara Fensi, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League and Chairman of Dhum Union Parishad No. 4 AKM Jahangir Bhuiyan, Chairman of Kerhat No. 1 Kerhat Enayet Hossain Nayan and Chairman of Katachhara Union Rezaul addressed the newly elected UP members.
