Seven newly procured aircraft for the Bangladesh Air Force arrived in Chattogram from China on Thursday, said a press release of ISPR.
These seven aircrafts arrived at BAF Base Zahurul Haque in Chattogram on Thursday after a successful ferry flight from Dehong Mangsgi of China by BAF pilots.
With the direction and relentless effort of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the present government has taken various steps to modernize BAF.
In this development process, government has taken steps to induct seven China made K-8W aircraft from China under government to government agreement through CATIC, said ISPR release.
The mission was led by Group Captain A K M Abdur Rajjaque of BAF. The aircraft were received at the BAF Base Zahurul Haque following the traditional customs of BAF.
Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, Principal Staff Officers of Air Headquarters, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Zahurul Haque and senior officers were present on the occasion.
In addition to the existing K-8W training aircraft in BAF inventory, the inclusion of this newly purchased 07 X K-8W training aircraft will certainly enhance the training as well as the operational capability of BAF.
