Newly appointed DG pays tribute to Bangabandhu

The newly appointed Director General of Bangladesh Passport and Immigration Directorate, Major General Md. Nurul Anwar, NDC, HDMC, AFWC, PSC, G paid homage at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara, Gopalganj.

He reached Tungipara on Monday (October 31) afternoon and paid his respects by placing a wreath at the altar of Bangabandhu Samadhisoudh.

Later, after reciting the holy Fateha and Darood, he prayed for the souls of all the martyrs killed by Bangabandhu and his family on August 15, 1975, wished for the good health and longevity of Bangabandhu's daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and prayed for the souls of all the martyrs killed in the Great War of Liberation.

At this time, the Director of Passport and Immigration Directorate, Abdullah Al Mamun, Director, Abu Noman, Deputy Director Md. Zakir Hossain, Shah Mohammad Waliullah, Tungipara Upazila Executive Officer Md. Al Mamun, Gopalganj Regional Passport Office Assistant Director Ashish Kumar and others were present.

After that, the newly appointed Director General of Passport and Immigration Directorate, Major General Md. Nu­rul Anwar, NDC, HDMC, AFWC, PSC, G wrote comments in the inspection book kept at Bangabandhu Bhavan and signed it.
