The new textbooks will be available on time in the New Year, although there are pressures amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni made the remarks while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Chandpur Sadar Upazila Muktijoddha Complex building in the Baburhat area of Chandpur Sadar on Saturday.
She said, “We have to make books under much pressure amid the Corona situation. Still, we are trying our best not to make any mistakes in the new book. But, even then, if there are any unintentional mistakes, they must be corrected.”
Recently, a person filed a case with the police station to make a textbook mistake. In this regard, the Education Minister said the person who filed the lawsuit might have said many words that should have been corrected. However, the terms used are not entirely incorrect, she added.
At the time, Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Police Milon Mahmud, Chandpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Nurul Islam Nazim Dewan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sanjida Shahnaz, freedom fighter Dr Saidya Badrun Nahar Chowdhury, and Faridganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Advocate Zahidul Islam Roman were present, among others.
