New public library opens at Senbagh

A new public library named ‘Renesha Gono-Granthagar’, has been inaugurated at Dakshin Baliakandi under Bijgaon union at Senbagh upazila in Noakhali. 

Renesha Samajik Sango, a nonprofit and voluntary organisation working on social activities for the betterment of village community at the area, set up the public library on the premises of Baitunnur Jame Mosque at Dakshin Baliakandi. 

On the occasion, a function was arranged on the mosque premises recently. Guests of the function and leaders of Renesha Samajik Sango inaugurated the public library by cutting a ribbon. 

Principal of Sultanganj Degree College Shahidul Alam attended the event as the chief guest with assistant teacher of Kankirhat Bohumukhi High School Mohammad Shah Alam in the chair. 

It was attended, among others, by general secretary of Bijgaon union unit of Awami League Yeakub Mamun, headmaster of Mohammadpur Ramendra Model High School Belayet Hossain, headmaster of Joynagar High School Hedayet Ullah Anwar, Maulana Nurul Absar, Abu Taher Company, Ahsan Ullah and Tajul Islam Bachchhu. 

President of Renesha Samajik Sango Md Fakhrul Islam and its general secretary Md Feroz Alam and leaders of the organisation were also present at the time.

Md Feroz Alam said that their organisation set up the public library at the area in a bid to spread knowledge among students and people from all walks of life.
