Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Thursday said the government will formulate a policy for controlling the quality of gold and diamond, reports BSS.

“The policy will be formed to ensure standard ornaments for consumers. For formulating the policy, a committee will be formed, led by an additional secretary,” he said while meeting with the leaders of Bangladesh Jewelers Samity at the Industries Ministry in the city, said a press release.

President of the Bangladesh Jewelers Samity Enamul Haque Khan, General Secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwal and senior officials of the Industries Ministry, among others, were present.
