New office bearers of CCCI take over charge

The newly elected board of directors of The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 terms took over at a function at the Bangabandhu Conference Hall at the World Trade Center on Wednesday morning.  

They will lead the chamber for 2 years from 1 July.  President Mahbubul Alam elected for the 5th time in the chamber presided over the meeting.  Vice President Syed Mohammad Tanvir, Directors AKM Akhter Hossain, Md. Ahid Siraj Chowdhury (Swapan), Zahirul Islam Chowdhury (Alamgir), Anjan Shekhar Das, Md. Omar Farooq, Hasnat Md. Abu Obaida, Sakif Ahmed Salam, Engineer Iftekhar Hossain, Md. Iftekhar Faisal, SM Tahsin Jonaid, Mohammad Adnanul Islam, Tanvir Mostafa Chowdhury and Mohammad Nasirul Alam and outgoing director Md M Mohiuddin Chowdhury were present. 

Mahbubul Alam, President of Chamber, said that the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of the oldest trade organizations in the country, is part of the millennial heritage of Chittagong, the heart of Bangladesh's economy.  

On behalf of the Board of Directors, he offered sincere thanks and congratulations to all the members of the Chittagong Chamber for electing the full panel formed under its leadership.

 He said that this unwavering support of all the business community will further accelerate the various initiatives of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry to build a prosperous Bangladesh in the days to come. 

We sincerely wish your sincere cooperation in this endeavor to expand the country's industry and trade and to make the new generation of Bangladesh up-to-date in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Chamber President  Mahbubul Alam thanked the directors for the significant work of the chamber in the last 2 years even during the Corona epidemic and hoped to work with the newly elected board of directors to develop the image of Chittagong, address nationally important economic issues and work in Bangladesh's interest in the international arena.

  The newly elected Board of Directors was congratulated by the Secretariat of the Chamber.
