18th October was the first death anniversary of rock legend Ayub Bachchu. To mark this day, his peers organized several programmes in is memory. There is now news of a new cover band which will only perform Ayub Bachchu’s songs. This band is called LAB meaning ‘Love Ayub Bachchu’.
The band has already taken part in several stage shows and television shows. They have already received praise for their performance of AB’s songs. The vocalist for the band is Benson &Hedges 2001 champion Sujon Arif. Lead guitarists for the band are Samu and Bappi. Base guitarist is Rana and Sohel is the drummer of the band.
Vocalist Sujon Arif said, ‘Respected Ayub Bachchu bhai is no longer with us. But he left behind countless songs for us. We grew up listening to his songs and we love him a lot. That is why we started this band. Already we have received praise from audiences during stage shows. I hope everyone will support us. We don’t want to make money by releasing Bachchu bhai’s songs on YouTube or as cover songs. We will only perform his songs on stage in front of live audiences.’
