Sunerah Binte Kamal is the newest face in the big screens of Dhallywood. Starting from modeling for apparels she has leaped up to the glamourous world of the big screen. Star Cineplex produced and under Tanim Rahman Angshu’s direction the film ‘Naw Darai’ is to hit the cinema halls in October. And Sunerah has played the role of a surfer in the film. Also featured in the film is Shariful Raj. Previously on June 20 those concerned with the film have released the poster through a meet-the-press session at Bashundhara City’s Star Cineplex. There Sunerah shared her experience working in this film.
Since she was small child she used to dream of working on the big screen. And finally her dreams have come true, says Sunerah. She adds, “When I was young I used to tell my mother that I want to act and do modeling. My mother used to support me then and also encouraged me. I never got pulled back if I wanted to do something. That is why I think of myself to be very lucky.”
That is not all, she even went to Cox’s Bazar before the shooting to get special training on surfing. She learned everything from the down-up, standing on the surf board, how to keep her balance, and how to tie her hair. It took her four trips to Cox’s Bazar before she could stand properly on the surf board.
Sunerah started her career by working as an in-house stylist apparel manager of a fashion house. She used to take care of the public relations department of the house. From selecting the theme of any photo shoot to model selection, fashion direction and women’s section’s designing to production was also under her. But she left the job for working in the film.
The film is supposed to be released in cinema halls across the country.
