The drama Vivaman, directed by Miksetu Mithu, has been released on YouTube. Mithu is the founder president of the Bangladesh University of Textiles Journalists' Association (BJA).
The play tells a compelling story of friendship, love, and deception, featuring actors Partha Sheikh, Maria Shanto, Abdullah Sentu, Abdullah Rana, and Hindol Roy.
Produced by Teesta Vision, Vivaman was filmed on the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) campus. It highlights a common issue in the country: cheating in the workplace. The narrative centres around the struggles of unemployed individuals who fall victim to fraud.
Partha Sheikh stars as Asad, an unemployed man facing multiple setbacks. His girlfriend, Sheela, played by Maria Shanto, teaches him life’s lessons. After finally securing a job, Asad discovers that the company requires payment for employment, leading to further complications.
The drama features a twist ending that reveals the deeper themes of friendship and betrayal. It includes a song titled "Bondhu," written by Mithu and performed by Khayyam Sanu Sandhi. Vivaman is available exclusively on Backbencher Fiction's YouTube channel.
