New diplomats in Austria, UAE

Bangladesh has appointed new ambassadors in two diplomatic missions in a latest development. Md. Abu Zafar, currently serving as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Austria and Permanent Representative to UN Offices in Vienna, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to United Arab Emirates. 

Muhammad Abdul Muhith, currently serving as Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark, will join Austria as the next Ambassador. Zafar joined the BCS Foreign Affairs cadre in 1991. In his diplomatic career, he served in Bangladesh Missions in The Hague, Karachi, Los Angeles, Dubai and different wings at the headquarters in various capacities.

He studied Agriculture from Sher-e-Bangla Agriculture University and MBA in Banking in Finance from Preston University, USA (Overseas Campus) as well as Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the International Institute of Public Administration (IIAP), Paris.  Muhith is a career foreign service officer who joined BCS Foreign Affairs cadre in 1993. 

In his 27-year long diplomatic career, he served in various capacities in the Bangladesh Missions in Kuwait, Rome, Doha, New York and Washington DC as well as at the headquarters in different wings.  He studied sociology at the Dhaka University.
