Leaders of the newly elected committee of Gopalganj District Bar Association have paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Thursday afternoon.
They jointly laid wreaths at the altar of Bangabandhu's grave and paid deep homage. The newly elected (for the term of 2020-2021) President of the Executive Council of Gopalganj District Bar Association Adv MM Nasir Ahmed, General Secretary Adv M Zulqadar Rahman, former president Ahmed Nowsher Ali (Mitu) Sardar, former president Alhaj Munshi and about a hundred lawyers were present at the time.
After paying homage and reciting Holy Fateha and Durood special prayers were offered for the souls of Bangabandhu and his family members martyred on August 15, 1975. They also prayed for good health and long life of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
