Newly promoted seven Additional Inspector Generals of Bangladesh Police have paid homage and saluted at the tomb of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the greatest Bengali nation of all time, at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
Arriving at Tungipara on Friday, they paid their respects by laying floral wreaths at the altar of Bangabandhu Mausoleum.Abu Hassan Muhammad Tariq, Dr. Hasan ul Haider, Md. Monirul Islam, Md. Shahabuddin Khan, Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Barrister Md. Harun Aur Rashid, Mohammad Ali Mia were the newly promoted Additional Inspector Generals of Police.
After paying their respects and reciting from Holy Quran, they all prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of Bangabandhu and all the martyrs killed in his family on 15th August, 1975. They also prayer for Bangabandhu's worthy daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s sound health.
Gopalganj District Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddique and other officers of different ranks and units of different districts and units of the district police were present at the time.
Later, the Additional Inspector Generals of Police signed the inspection book preserved at Bangabandhu Bhaban.
