Recent opinion polls reported in Israeli media highlight the increasingly difficult position facing Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to the surveys, around 58 percent of respondents remain sceptical about the ceasefire and question the gains Israel claims to have achieved during the war with Iran.
At the same time, a significant majority, about 79 percent, favour continuing military operations against Hezbollah and curbing its activities in Lebanon.
Netanyahu is also facing mounting international pressure, particularly from the United States. In the past 24 hours, leaders from Germany, Canada and other countries have urged him to stick to the ceasefire.
With elections approaching, the situation could further complicate matters for Netanyahu if a majority of Israeli voters oppose maintaining the ceasefire.
