The Embassy, in collaboration with the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society (BNFS), organized a ‘Painting Competition’ among school-level students at Bangladesh Shishu Academy in Rajshahi on Friday.

The Competition held under the theme ‘Nepal As I See It’, was aimed at providing young Bangladeshi students with a platform to creatively express their ‘ideas of Nepal’ through their art works.

Inaugurating the Competition, Ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari commended the young students for their participation.

He noted that the objective of the Competition was to help young students of Bangladesh enhance their understanding of Nepal, thereby promoting the friendship between the two countries.

He also highlighted the historic and deep-rooted ties between Nepal and Bangladesh and expressed hope that the artistic reflections of the participants would further contribute to strengthening cultural and people-to-people connections between the two countries.

President of Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society Mr. Moshiur Ahmed welcomed the participants and stated that the painting competition served as a celebration of the enduring bonds of friendship between Nepal and Bangladesh.

Students from 40 schools in Rajshahi participated in the Competition. The participants were categorized into two age groups: 6-10 years and 11-16 years. Four winners as well as 10 best artworks from each category were selected by an eminent panel of judges.

A separate Prize Distribution Ceremony was held this afternoon to felicitate the winners and selected participants.

Ambassador Mr. Bhandari and dignitaries present on the occasion felicitated the ten winners from each category.
