With the slogan 'Fleeting the victory flag in the nor'wester, hear the joyous sound of logic' the Debate Festival-2019 and a discussion meeting started with students of eight districts of Rangpur division at Zila Parishad auditorium of Thakurgaon on Friday noon. National Debate Federation (NDF) organised the function.
Presided over by AKM Soyeb, Chairman of National Debate Federation, the function was attended, among others, by Aminul Islam, Addtional Deputy Commissioner ( revenue) of Thakurgaon as the chief guest, Farhadul Islam Biplob, Convener of Rangpur divisional Debate Festival, Shahina Sultana, Lion M. Alamgir, Zahidul Islam Sihab and Anamika Sanyal.
Nearly 600 students of 75 educational institutions of eight districts of Rangpur division participated the function. Debaters of haji Mohammed Danesh University participated in the debate on the Shadow Parliament. Earlier, a rally was brought out from BD Hall premises which ended at the same place after parading various streets.
