Director and Chairperson of the Executive Committee of National Bank Limited Parveen Haque Sikder, MP, inaugurated six new branches of the bank as the chief guest through video conferencing on Wednesday.
The branches are -- 214th branch in Mongla of Bagerhat, 215th in Narail, 216th in Laxmipur, 217th in Shyamnagar of Satkhira, 218th in Panchabati of Narayanganj and 219th in Bhurungamari of Kurigram.
Director of the bank and the Chairperson of the Executive Committee thanked all present on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Bank for their commitment to provide modern and quality banking services to the customers.
She paid rich homage to all the heroic martyrs including father of the Bengali Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. She also specially remembered the late Chairman and Entrepreneurial Director of the Bank and one of the organizers of the Great Liberation War, her father Zainul Haque Sikder.
Entrepreneurial Director of the Bank Moazzem Hossain, Director Md Naimuzzaman Bhuiyan Mukta and Director Lt General Md Shafiqur Rahman (retired) was virtually connected to the inauguration programme.
Also present on the occasion were Managing Director and CEO of the Bank Md Mehmud Hossain and senior officers and employees. Besides, local prominent businessmen, freedom fighters, social workers and people of different strata of society and professions were present on the occasion.
At the end of the program, special prayers and munajat were offered for the welfare of the country and the nation.
