All officers and staff members of National Bank Ltd working during the current crisis of covid-19 infection would be offered special incentive, said a press release. Honorable Chairman of the Bank Mr Zainul Haque Sikder made the announcement on Wednesday expressing that the employees are taking great risks despite such global pandemic of coronavirus infection to serve the clients of the bank.
The Chairman said that he was grateful to those who are still proving professional duties of banking services despite the risk of contamination and so he felt the need for their protection. The press release said that the bank will bear the expenses for his/her medical treatment if infected by the virus. If any officer/staff dies due to COVID-19, his/her family will be given Taka two lakh at a time exclusive of all benefits. He also has instructed all concerned to discharge duties complying all precautionary measures instructed by the competent authority.
