A new branch of the National Bank Limited has been inaugurated in the city on Sunday. The branch is named ‘Dhanmondi Extension Branch’. In order to maintain smooth banking service for all, the bank’s authorities, at the inaugural ceremony, committed to open more branches and offer better services.
Zainul Haque Sikder, Chairman of NBL, also a valiant freedom fighter and renowned organiser of the War of Liberation and Parveen Haque Sikder, MP, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the bank, formally inaugurated the branch by cutting ribbon.
Director of the Bank Monowara Sikder, Vice Chairman of Sikder Insurance Company Ltd. Mamtazul Haque, Directors of Sikder Group Dipu Haque Sikder & Lisa Fatema Haque, Administrator of Z.H. Sikder Women’s Medical College & Hospital Mandy Khan Sikder, Independent Director of the bank Mahbubur Rahman Khan, Managing Director and CEO of the bank Choudhury Moshtaq Ahmed were present in the inaugural programme.
Additional Managing Directors, Deputy Managing Directors, some divisional heads of Head Office and Manager of Dhanmondi Extension Branch Md Delowar Hossain, other officers of the bank, some freedom fighters and distinguished business personnel of that area, social workers, journalists and people from different professions were also present in the program.
Director & EC Chairperson of the bank, Parveen Haque Sikder, MP, in her speech, expressed her gratitude to all present. She said that the authority of the bank is very happy to open the 204th branch of the Bank at Dhanmondi residential area. She assured quality and modern banking services.
She told the audience that National Bank is keen to help grow the industrial and agricultural sector of the country. She expressed that through quality and modern banking services, National Bank will be able to leave a significant mark on the overall economic growth of the country. To facilitate the rural people with the modern banking facilities, the bank is also aiming to launch a number of banking booths in some remote areas in rural areas, Parveen informed.
Later, he prayed for departing soul of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the martyred freedom fighters and thanked all the people present there. At last a special prayer was offered for the well-being of the country.
