Navy donates safety equipment in Tungipara

Bangladesh Navy donated disinfectant chamber spray machine, PPE, mask, sanitizer, safety goggles, thermometer and other disinfectant to Tungipara 100-bed Upazila Health Complex as well as Mother and Child Hospital in Tungipara of Gopalganj to prevent corona virus on Tuesday.

Besides, security and disinfectant materials were provided at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Mausoleum Complex and the office of the Upazila Parishad Chairman. 

Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa, Regional Commander, Khulna Naval Zone, handed over the supplies to the hospital and local authorities.

Doctors, nurses and health workers at various levels of the two hospitals in Tungipara are working tirelessly to address the corona situation. This initiative was taken by Navy to ensure their personal safety. As part of this, those safety items were provided to the doctors and nurses.

While handing over safety equipment at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Mausoleum Complex, the Regional Commander of Khulna Naval Area paid homage at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

It is to be noted that Navy has been working relentlessly in the coastal areas of the country from the very beginning to prevent the corona virus. In addition to performing professional duties, Navy is conducting various activities including raising public awareness and providing food assistance.
