ACD Arjun: With the theme "Equality and Balance, Cooperatives Will Build the Nation", the 54th National Cooperative Day-2025 was celebrated in Bhola with colorful arrangements on Saturday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Belal Hossain and Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Md. Sohan Sarkar formally inaugurated the event by hoisting the national flag and the cooperative flag in the morning.
A colorful procession was brought after the hoisting of the national flag to the tune of the national anthem. The procession that started from the Bhola Deputy Commissioner's office premises, paraded different important roads of the city and ended at the Zilla Parishad office premises.
A discussion meeting was also held in participation with officials concerned of the District Administration and District Cooperative Office, teachers and invited guests of various schools, and representatives of various cooperative societies.
Deputy Assistant Registrar of the District Cooperative Office Md. Abdul Matin presided over the meeting. ADC Belal Hossain delivered the speech as the chief guest.
The event was moderated by Chandra Shekhar Chakraborty, a Senior Assistant Teacher of Government Primary School, while Md. Ibrahim Khalil, President of Sheba Dairy Cooperative Society, and Farzana Akhter Mim, President of Uttar Dighaldi Cooperative Society, among others, alsospoke.
The discussion meeting, which began with the welcome speech of Deputy Assistant Registrar A. Matin, emphasized the importance of being cooperative.
The meeting held in the conference room of the District Council was attended, among others, by Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the District Administration Md. Azam, Assistant Director of the District Youth Development Office Moqaddes Ali, Sadar Upazila Cooperative Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman, Former District Cooperative Officer Md. Ohidul Islam, Director of the Cooperative Bank Md. Nurul Islam, Executive Officer of the Cooperative Bank Md. Nazmul Islam, President of the Cooperative Union Advocate Nasir Uddin, Assistant Inspectors of the Upazila Cooperative Office Zahir Raihan and Md. Momin and Md. Sohan, along with all the officers and employees of the Cooperative Office.
