The health ministry-formed national advisory committee on Covid19 in Bangladesh has recommended the government not to allow cattle markets inside the towns for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.

From a meeting, they suggested setting up those markets in open spaces outside the towns maintaining social distancing and ensuring separate entry and exit gates.

The meeting took place on Friday, said a statement.
Experts fear a rise of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh next month following the celebration of the one of the largest religious festivals at the end of this month.

The advisory committee also suggested not to allow sick and people aged above 50 in the markets. Masks have been urged to make it mandatory.
As of Friday, the government confirmed 1,78,443 cases of coronavirus and 2,275 deaths in Bangladesh.
