The whole nation is stunned by the BNP-Jamaat-Shibir’s mayhem over the past few days in the capital Dhaka and other parts of the country during the students’ anti-quota protests. They (BNP-Jamaat-Shibir), cashing in on the student movement, unleashed a reign of terror across the country. They have destroyed many major structures by arson attacks causing huge losses and hampering services to the people.

However, life started getting normal across the country from Tuesday as general holiday ended and the government relaxed the curfew which has been imposed to prevent further violence. All the public and private establishments, including garment factories, banks, and stock exchanges, have reopened and employees and workers have joined their duty since Wednesday.

Most of the apparel factories, situated in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Savar and Gazipur, have been reopened following a meeting of the country’s business leaders with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday.

Members of law enforcement agencies remain vigilant at different points of the capital to ward off any unpleasant incident. Broadband internet has been restored in most areas of the country on Tuesday after five days of outage.

BNP leaders are still making irresponsible remarks over the prevailing situation. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday said the ongoing movement will not end unless there is a political solution to the persisting crisis.

His (Mirza Fakhrul) statement raised question about whether BNP activists in association with Jamaat-Shibir and militant outfits wll resort to arson terrorism across the country again. They had wanted to turn the country into a pile of rubbles and dreamt of going to power standing on the bodies.

They have destroyed

causing huge losses and

 hampering services to the people.

We have noticed that BNP leaders are now more desperate to destabilise the country in the name of the fresh movement. We think it is a new plot against the government after the recent mayhem.

It is clear to all that BNP’s fugitive leader Tarique Rahman staying in London is plotting to topple the government. The people of the country believe that BNP-Jamaat activists are involved in terror activities across the country.

BNP does not believe in the spirit of the liberation war and that is why they are still making such irresponsible comments. Mirza Fakhrul is still instigating Jamaat-Shibir and militant outfits to launch arson attacks targeting law enforcement officials, journalists, public and private transports and important government establishments and key point installations (KPIs).

In the last few days, they (BNP-Jamaat-Shibir activists) carried out massive destruction across the coutry, riding on the student’s quota movement. They used a non-political and non-violent movement to wage a violent movement.

Sensing the involvement of the vested quarter, the quota protestors issued several statements disowning the violence, claiming that a third party was behind these terror acts.

While the Awami League government is carrying out massive development work as per the electoral pledges, some elements led by the BNP are making all-out efforts to create unrest in the country to oust the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The anti-liberation and communal forces along with BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami are always active across the country to destroy  the development work of the AL government. Besides, some identified influential persons are now allegedly plotting against the country and government.

The influential persons led by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman are helping the vested querters and communal groups to make Bangladesh a failed state.
