Nat’l Revolution and Solidarity Day observed at CVASU

National Revolution and Solidarity Day-2025 was celebrated with dignity at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU).

CVASU Teachers, students, officials and employees, as well as representatives from various levels were present at the event organized at the conference room of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on Friday afternoon.

The event was organized by Ziaur Rahman Foundation-Agri, Chattogram Chapter and presided over by Professor Dr. Mohammad Ahsanul Haque. The event was moderated by Md. Shahariar Hossain Talukder and Professor Dr. AKM Saifuddin was present as the chief guest.

In the beginning, Professor Dr. Shamsul Morshed highlighted the background and historical significance of the National Revolution and Solidarity Day. Then, various aspects of the biography of martyred President Ziaur Rahman were discussed. The topics and speakers of the discussion were “Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Economic Structure and Shaheed Zia” - Md. Moniruzzaman Badal. “Bangladesh Nationalism and Resolution of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Crisis” - Professor Dr. Md. Rashedul Alam. “Foreign Policy and Geopolitical Thoughts of Shaheed Zia (Establishment of SAARC and Iran-Iraq Conflict)” - Professor Dr. Humayun Kabir. “From Individual Zia to Statesman Zia” - Mohsin Mia. “Multi-Party Democracy and Shaheed Zia” - Professor Dr. Md. Mahabubur Rahman. “Mass Education and Village Government Management” - Professor Dr. Yusuf Elahi Chowdhury.

Then an open discussion titled “Martyr President Ziaur Rahman’s Ideology and Its Implementation” was held.

The chief guest Professor Dr. AKM Saifuddin highlighted the role of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman in national reconstruction, his visionary leadership in agricultural development and the establishment of multi-party democracy. He called upon everyone to build their personal and professional lives by embracing the ideals of Shaheed Zia and thanked everyone present and declared the meeting over.
