National Disaster Preparedness Day was observed in Ulipur of Kurigram. On the occasion of the day on Friday at 11 o'clock in the organization of the upazila procession, a rally, discussion meeting, earthquake and fire exercises were held. A colorful rally came out from the Upazila Parishad square. The rally circled different places in the Upazila Parishad square and ended at the same place. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shobhan Ransa presided over the meeting. The local member of parliament, brave freedom fighter Professor MA Matin, spoke as the chief guest.
Upazila Parishad Chairman brave Freedom FIghter Golam Hossain Montu, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Sirajuddaula spoke as special guests. Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Ripa Sardar, Soumendra Prasad Pandey Gaba, President of Ulipur Merchants Association, Heads of different departments of the Upazila, members of the Sudhi Samaj were present.
