State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid underscored the need for making united efforts to take the country forward. "We will take Bangladesh forward with coordinated efforts as journalists extend their support to the government in a bid to complete the development projects rapidly," he said on Thursday.
Nasrul made the remarks when the 11-member committee of Forum for Energy Reporters' of Bangladesh (FERB) called on him at his ministry in Dhaka, report BSS. The state minister said international trainings and seminars should be facilitated for the journalists covering energy sector along with the government officials. “Investigative reports in the power and energy sector will advance the progress in the sector," he added.
Led by Chairman of FERB Arun Karmakar, Vice Chairman Muzerhirul Haque Rumel, Executive Director Shamim Jahangir, Director (Development and Finance) Lutfar Rahman Kakon, Director (Research and Training) Mahfuz Mishu, Director (Data Bank) Shahed Siddiqui, Director (Entertainment and Welfare) Serajul Islam Seraj and executive members Mollah Amzad Hossain, Sadrul Hasan, Shahnaz Begum and Mamun-ur-Rashid, among others, were present.
