Narayanganj city as the well Narayanganj district has turned into a risky zone for coronavirus as the number of death and virus-infected patients is increasing everyday here.

The authorities concerned have taken various initiatives, including lockdown, to prevent the virus, but the initiatives are virtually ineffective as Narayanganj is a overcrowded district.

Having a large number of readymade garments factories, the workers have been living in unhygienic environment due to their low-income. A hundred square feet room is the residence of a family with five to seven members and this the common scenario whole area of the district.

Two major issues make the anxiety to the Narayanganj people. One is almost five thousands expats yet untraced who are living here and the other factor is a huge number of RMG workers entered the district following the order to join there job on April 5.

The treatment facilities both in public and private hospitals or clinics became vulnerable condition as the physicians as well as health workers are not available in the hospital even in private clinics.

A silent screaming heard from different parts of the district as the relief goods are not properly disbursement between the proper needed people. According to District Administration Brief, ADC Selim Reza officially inform the media four peoples died of COVID-19, infected 22, isolated 16, home quarantined 607 and released from quarantine 454 peoples.

But peoples of Narayanganj demanded the death toll is 7 and if diagnosis process is done randomly the figure of the infected people might be more than the instant statistics.

The Civil citizen forum further claiming that a labrotary needed to install in Narayanganj to diagnosis Nobel Corona Virus. They stand a logic behind this demand two public hospital in the city are not capable to identify COVID-19 patients and thus the peoples have been deprived from sufferer general fever and cold infected patients.

Though Narayanganj General Hospital as set up 5 beds while the other hospital named Khanpur 300 Hundred  Bed Hospital for 30 beds to providing treatment to the Corona infected patients but nothing giving the hospitals. When a patients rushed to the public hospital then referred him/ her to Dhaka but didn’t mention in where they will go.

As a result, each and every patients has been moving one after another hospital to get the treatment and in this situation someone face to ill fate without treatment.
