Khandakar Shah Alam of CNN Bangla and Sharifuddin Sobuj of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) were elected president and general secretary of Narayanganj Press Club for the next two year.
The election was held on Friday. Voting was conducted from 2pm to 5pm at a stretch.
As many as 64 out of 67 members cast vote in the election
An election commission led by Jila Parishad Chairman Anwar Hossain declared the polls result at 7.30pm on Friday.
Others office bearers are: vice president -- Rafikul Islam Jibon of New Age; joint secretary -- Ahsan Sadik of Channel 24; treasurer -- Mujibul Haque Polash of Prothom Alo; sports and cultural secretary -- Anisur Rahman Jewel of Masranga TV.
Executive committee members are: Arif Alam Dipu of Daily Shitalakhya, Halim Azad of BSS, Billal hossain Robin of Daily Manab Zamin and Lutfor Rahman Kakon of Amader Somoy.
