Former general secretary of Narail district Awami League and former PP of the Judge Court Freedom fighter Advocate Siddique Ahmed died of Covid-19 on Sunday night. He was 71.
According to the family sources, Advocate Siddique Ahmed's corona positive result came in the first week of this month. When his condition deteriorated, he was admitted to a hospital in Dhaka on August 8 and was kept in the ICU. On Sunday night at 9: 25 pm, he died at the hospital.
He survived by his wife and two daughters. His wife Anjuman Ara is a leader of Narail district Mahila League.
MP of Narail-2 constituency Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, MP of Narail-1 constituency Kabirul Haque Mukti and District Awami League president Advocate Subash Chandra Bose expressed deep shock at the death of Advocate Siddique Ahmed.
A mourning meeting was held in his memory at Narail Bar Association at 10:00 am on Monday and a full court reference was held on the same day. His janaza was held at the municipal cemetery premises on Monday after the Johar prayers obey hygiene rules. After the janaza, he was given a state guard of honor.
Chairman of Narail Zila Parishad Advocate Sohrab Hossain Biswas and Narail DC Anjuman Ara were present at the time. He was buried at Narail Municipal cemetery after receiving the guard of honor.
