Narail administration adopts zero-tolerance against drug

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narail Anjuman Ara has sought help to make Narail district free from drug as well as addiction. She said that the administration has adopted a zero-tolerance strategy against drug as they are committed to eliminate drug addiction. 

The DC was speaking at an anti-drug rally as the chief guest on the premises of Kalia Pilot Government High School on Sunday. 

Kalia upazila administration arranged the event with the association of Drugs and Narcotics Control department. 

DC Anjuman Ara said that stern action can be taken against the drug traders and addicts within 24 hours if the people extend support in 

this regard. 

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Kalia Md Nazmul Huda presided over the event, while Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-General) Md. Yarul Islam, Additional Police Super (ASP-Circle) Md. Sarfuddin, Additional Director of Department of Drugs and Narcotics Control in Khulna division Md Abul Hossain, Kalia upazila chairman Krisnopado Ghos, Vice-chairman Ibrahim Sheikh also spoke as special guests.

Students and teachers of schools and colleges and the common people joined the rally.
