Nandimukh celebrates 33rd anniversary

Chattogram-based theatre troupe Nandimukh celebrated its 33rd founding anniversary organising a three-day event comprising lectures and documentary film screenings at the Zilla Shilpakala Academy, Chattogram from Monday to Wednesday.

Indian writer and researcher Ashish Goswami delivered a lecture titled Tapas Sen: Nischinta Ashray, and a documentary film titled Let There Be Light jointly directed by Ashit Basu and Bhadra Basu was screened on Monday.

Theatre researcher Anit Roy delivered a lecture titled Abhinoy Shilpe Shobha Sen, and a documentary film titled Satu Sen directed by Debesh Chattopadhyay was screened on Tuesday.

Ashish Goswami delivered a lecture titled Habib Tanvir: Antorjatikota Theke Shohojia, and a documentary titled Habib Tanvir: A Journey to the Passion directed by Debesh Chattopadhyay was screened on the closing day of the festival.

Theatre Nandimukh, which is being led by playwright, director and actor Avijit Sengupta, was founded by young cultural activists who took part in the anti-autocratic movement. It has brought 14 theatre productions to the stage.
