On his birthday, Bangladesh national team opener Nazmul Hossain Shanto welcomed the role of fatherhood, as his wife Sabrin Sultana gave birth to their first child on Friday.
Turning 25 on that same day, Shanto took to Facebook to share the joyous news of his son's arrival. In his post, he expressed, “Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Almighty Allah, at 10:14 this morning I became the father of a baby boy. Mother and the child are doing well. Please pray for our family as we are about to embark on a new chapter of our lives.”
Shanto and Sabrin tied the knot in June 2020, both hailing from Rajshahi. Earlier, on August 16th, Shanto had hinted at his impending fatherhood through a social media post alongside his wife, announcing the imminent arrival of a new member to their family.
In anticipation of this significant day, Shanto even took leave from the national team's training session ahead of the Asia Cup, choosing to be by his wife's side as they welcomed their child into the world.
