Nabinagar municipality announces budget

Nabinagar Municipality announced a budget of Tk 160 crore 24 lakh 51 thousand 796 taka 71 paisa for the financial year 2020-2021 in the auditorium of Nabinagar Municipality in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday.

The budget was announced by the Mayor of Nabinagar Municipality Advocate Shiv Shankar Das. In the proposed budget, the income in the revenue sector has been shown as Tk 3 crore 83 lakh 74 thousand 853 and the income in the development sector has been shown as Tk 156 crore 40 lakh 76 thousand 943.

Expenditure in the revenue sector has been shown to be Tk 3 crore 46 lakh four thousand and expenditure in the development sector has been shown to be Tk 157 crore 40 lakh 67 thousand 700. In the proposed budget, the total surplus in the revenue sector is shown as Tk 37 lakh 70 thousand 853 and in the development sector the surplus is shown as Tk 14 lakh 84 thousand 700.

Various sectors including cemetery and crematorium development, corona virus prevention, GAP and PRAP implementation under UGIIP-III project, waste management, slum development, pipeline water supply and sanitation are included in the budget. Councillors, journalists, Awami League leader Jasimuddin Ahmed and municipal officials were present at the time.
