Death toll and infection rate situation of Narayanganj is becoming worse day by day although two PCR labs are performing in full swing to scan the new Corona virus infected patients.
According to the district health department statement, in 24 hours till Wednesday morning, two COVID-19 patients died, 38 recovered and 38 more were infected in Narayanganj.
The figure of the Corona virus infected reached 1413 in total. Of them 198 were cured and 59 died till Wednesday.
A massive demand rose from the citizen to keep the markets shut down except essential commodity shops amid the rapidly deteriorating situation.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narayanganj, Civil Surgeon and Police Super expressed that a new decision would be made on May 16 on whether the markets and shops will remain open or not.
The conscious citizens are blaming the reopening of the markets and the RMG factories for the Corona infection rise in Narayanganj.
In Narayanganj city inhabitants experienced huge crowd of people in the town after withdrawal of the lockdown and its threw them into new panic. According to infection and death rates in the district the highest number is in the City Corporation area. The people of Narayanganj strongly demands the market to be shut down and lockdown to be restored again.
